KL Rahul returns to Team India, Shubman Gill loses command, his luck shines

The ODI and T20 teams of Team India have been announced on Saturday to play three ODIs and three T20 internationals. The tour starts from July 27, 2021, against Sri Lanka. Once again, Rohit Sharma will be seen handling the captaincy of the ODI team, while Hardik Pandya has not been given the command of the T20 team. Now Suryakumar Yadav will take over the command of the T20 team. Shubman Gill is back in place after being removed as the T20 team captain post the Bangladesh series. KL Rahul goes back to the time when he was in that team. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja are also rested from the T20 World Cup squad.

Other players in the squad are Riyan Parag, Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Shivam Dubey, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Khaleel Ahmed and Harshit Rana. Shivam Dubey, Sanju Samson, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel have also successfully managed a place on both teams, while Riyan Parag has also found his name on the list of the ODI and T20 team. Rohit Sharma will captain the ODI team with the vice-captaincy currently being shouldered by Shubman Gill. Shubman Gill, on the other hand, will resume his role as vice-captain of the T20 team.
