Labour Party leader Keir Starmer has taken charge as Prime Minister. Britain, which is separated from the European Union, faces many challenges. At the same time, changing some policies brought by the Conservative government is also included in the agenda of the new Labour Party government.

All this is not so easy for Prime Minister Keir Starmer. A glimpse of this was seen during the amendment of the 2 child benefit cap policy. The Conservative government had brought this policy with the intention of reducing government expenditure.

Under this, the financial assistance provided by the government after 2 children was banned. Keir Starmer's government decided to amend this policy, but 7 Labour Party MPs opposed it. Taking strict action, PM Starmer suspended all 7 MPs of the party for violating the party whip.

Actually, PM Keir Starmer is preparing to amend the 2 child benefit cap policy. The Labour Party MPs have opposed this move of the Starmer government. 7 MPs raised their voices to protest against the amendment bill. On this, PM Starmer himself and the party's high command came into action.

The Labour government of Britain issued a party whip for the 2 child benefit cap policy, but 7 MPs opposed it. In such a situation, the Labour Party suspended all these MPs. Action has been taken against all of them for violating the party whip.

Former Shadow Chancellor John McDonnell is also among the MPs suspended for these 6 months. Apart from him, Richard Burgon, Ian Byrne, Rebecca Long-Bailey, Imran Hussain, Afsana Begum, and Zara Sultana have also been suspended. The 7 MPs who have been suspended from the Labour Party will now be present in Parliament as independent MPs. All these MPs had voted against the amendment and on the other hand the proposal to amend the 2 child benefit cap policy fell in Parliament.

The Conservative government had brought the policy of 2 child benefit cap in 2017. Its objective was to cut government expenditure. Under this policy, the facilities provided by the government were limited to 2 children. After the implementation of this policy, British couples who have more than 2 children are not given financial help of 3,200 pounds (Rs 3,45,728) annually.

Many experts believe that due to this policy of the government, a large number of children have been forced to suffer the brunt of poverty. Now the Labor government wants to amend this policy.
