Karthik won first prize in Avaniyapuram Jallikattu, received many gifts including car

Many types of festivals are celebrated on the occasion of Makar Sankranti in India. In such a situation, the Pongal festival is celebrated on this occasion in Tamil Nadu. A bull-taming competition is held as part of this festival. Which is called the ‘Jallikattu competition’. In this competition, a young man named Karthik has got the best competition. 825 bulls were entered into the sport in Avaniapuram Jallikattu. Around 430 bull tamers also participated in the ten rounds of the event. In which Karthik, who controlled 17 bulls, got the first prize.

CR Karthik Kumar has been given a car, cow and calf for winning first place in the competition. Around 150 people, including spectators and policemen controlling the bulls, were injured in the competition. Nine of the injured were admitted to the Madurai government hospital.

Please note that arrangements for ambulances and fire engines were made during the competition. The duty of 16 general physicians and 9 experts from Madurai Government Rajaji Hospital and District Headquarters Hospital were put on duty. Apart from this, a mobile X-ray unit was also deployed on the spot for immediate examination of the injured.
