A drone strike that occurred overnight in northeastern Jordan, close to the Syrian border, claimed the lives of three US soldiers and injured numerous others. Iran has made it clear that the drone attack in Jordan has nothing to do with it. Following the deaths of three US military personnel in an overnight drone strike, President Joe Biden declared on Sunday that the US would retaliate. Biden has attributed this attack to a militia supported by Iran.

"Iran had no connection with the attack on the US base and had nothing to do with it," it said in a statement published by state news agency IRNA. There is conflict in the area between US forces and resistance groups, who retaliate.

Joe Biden is currently on a tour of South Carolina and from here he issued a statement. He said, 'Sunday night was very difficult for us. We lost 3 of our soldiers. We will answer this. With the growing threat of military escalation in the region, US officials are working to identify the exact group responsible for the attack, but have assessed that multiple Iranian-backed groups were behind the attacks.

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said, 'We will take all necessary actions to protect the United States, our troops, and our interests.'
