Superstar Shahrukh Khan's film 'Jawaan', which is making waves on the silver screen, earned a record of Rs 410 crore in just 9 days. On the lines of One Nation-One Emotion, the film has bridged the gap between North and South India and woven it into a thread of entertainment.

All the theaters in Chennai remained housefull on the day of the film's release. At many places, posters of Shahrukh were bathed with milk. After years, such craze for a Hindi film star was seen in South India.

On one hand, the stardom and mega budget of Bollywood and on the other hand, the vibrant style and tremendous action scenes of South Kollywood are the reasons for the success of 'Jawaan'.

Again got the title of biggest star
Shahrukh is the only star whose two films released in the same year crossed the Rs 400 crore mark. On the basis of 'Pathan' and 'Jawaan', Shahrukh reached the first position among the highest-grossing actors. Both the films together earned around Rs 953 crore.

In 2019, Akshay Kumar's 4 films together had earned Rs 757 crore. Now he has fallen to second place in this list.

  • 'Jawaan' made the biggest opening in the history of Hindi cinema with earnings of Rs 75 crore. Earlier this record was in the name of ‘Pathan’ (57 crores).
  • ‘Jawaan’ made the highest collection in the first week with Rs 391 crore. Pathan made Rs 364 crore. Had collected.
