Jammu and Kashmir: Security forces have got another success in the ongoing operation against terrorists in North Kashmir. Security forces arrested two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba in North Kashmir's Sopore area.

Security forces have got another success in the ongoing operation against terrorists in North Kashmir. Security forces arrested two Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba in North Kashmir's Sopore area. Police have confirmed this. A police spokesman said that a joint naka was set up at Sher Colony Tarzu by the Sopore Police and the Army's 52 RR. During the checking, suspicious activity of two persons coming on foot from Ningli towards Sher Colony was noticed. Police arrested both the accused and recovered eight cartridges of grenades and a pistol from them.

The police spokesman said that on seeing the police party and security forces, both tried to flee from the spot. But the jawans posted at the alert naka caught them. They have been identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat s/o Abdul Rashid Bhat and Tanveer Ahmad Lone s/o Ghulam Mohd Lone, both residents of Darnambal Tarzoo.

Police recovered two grenades from the possession of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, son of Abdul Rashid Bhat and 8 rounds of pistol were recovered from the possession of Tanveer Ahmad Lone. The spokesman said that both persons are over-ground workers (OGWs) of LeT. Police have registered FIR No. 78/2023 u/s 7/25A Act, 18, 23, 39 ULA(P) in this matter, and an investigation has been started.
