India has expressed concern over the deteriorating security situation in the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. India's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador R Ravindra has expressed deep concern over the Israel-Hamas war in the UN Security Council and urged to find a solution to the war through dialogue. Ambassador R Ravindra's comments came at the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in the Middle East on Tuesday.

Ambassador R Ravindra said, “India is deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation and the large-scale loss of civilian lives in the ongoing conflict and the growing humanitarian crisis accompanying this war is equally worrying. He further said that the escalating hostilities in the region have worsened the grave humanitarian situation and once again underlined the fragile state of the ceasefire.

R Ravindra said, “Civilian casualties in the ongoing conflict are a matter of serious and continuing concern. All parties must protect civilians, especially women and children. There is a need to talk about the unfolding humanitarian crisis.

India urged all parties to work towards creating the necessary conditions for peace and resumption of direct dialogue, including reducing tensions and avoiding violence.
