IPL Mini Auction on December 19, 77 slots to be filled

Gujarat needs alternative to Hardik, KKR needs maximum 12 players. The mini-auction before the 2024 season of IPL will take place in Dubai on December 19. In this, all 10 teams will enter to fill a total of 77 slots. There are also 30 foreign slots. 333 players will participate in the auction. Of these, 214 are Indian and 119 foreign players. 116 capped, while 215 uncapped have registered for the auction. Teams have a total of Rs 262.95 crore to spend in the auction, which is the largest purse size for a mini-auction in IPL history. Among these, Gujarat Titans will participate in the auction with the highest purse of Rs 38.15 crore.

At the same time, Lucknow Super Giants (13.15 crores) have the least amount. The biggest challenge is before Kolkata Knight Riders. It has Rs 32.70 crore left and 12 of its slots are currently vacant. Chennai has to fill 6 slots in the purse of Rs 31.40 crore. A team can have a minimum of 18 and a maximum of 25 players in the squad, including 8 foreigners.

Champion Chennai team is looking for a replacement after the retirement of Ambati Rayudu. There is a search for a power hitter Indian batsman in the middle order. The team would like to include a foreign fast bowler or all-rounder in the remaining 6 slots. The team can also turn to the Indian wicketkeeping option.

Mumbai Indians: Slots-8 Purse left- 17.75 crores
The team will still be looking for a foreign all-rounder. Pollard, who was a part of Mumbai's victorious phase, has not found a suitable replacement. Cameron Green has also been released. A foreign all-rounder along with a foreign fast bowler has often been a winning combination for Mumbai. The team is again looking for players with the same skillset.

Gujarat Titans: Slots-8 Purse left- 38.15 crores
An alternative to fast bowling all-rounder Hardik has to be found. It is difficult to find a player of this skill in the Indian circuit, in such a situation the team can turn to foreigners. Bengaluru: Slots left – 6 Purses left – 23.25 crores
Hazlewood, Hasaranga, Harshal were released. Now their alternatives will have to be found in 3 out of 6 slots. Traded all-rounder Shahbaz Ahmed will also have to be replaced with an Indian finisher or all-rounder.
