India defeated Afghanistan by six wickets with half-centuries from Yashasvi and Shivam

The second match of the three-match T20 series being played between India and Afghanistan started today. In this match played at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore, India defeated Afghanistan by six wickets due to the half-centuries of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dubey. With this, India has taken a 2-0 lead in the series.
Chasing the target of 173 runs, the Indian team had a bad start and lost the wicket of captain Rohit Sharma in the very first over. After this Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli took over the innings. There was a partnership of 57 runs between the two for the second wicket. Naveen Ul Haq gave the second blow to India by getting Virat Kohli caught out by Ibrahim Zadran. Kohli scored 29 runs in 16 balls with the help of five fours.
In the 13th over, Janat sent Yashasvi Jaiswal to the pavilion after getting him caught by Gurbaz. Jaiswal scored 68 runs with the help of five fours and six sixes. In the same over, Jitesh Sharma returned to the pavilion after getting out on zero. Shivam Dubey played an unbeaten inning of 63 runs in 32 balls with the help of five fours and four sixes. Rinku Singh remained unbeaten on nine. India won the match by scoring 173 runs for four wickets in 15.4 overs. For Afghanistan, Karim Janat dismissed two batsmen. Fazalhaq Farooqui and Naveen Ul Haq got one wicket each.
Earlier, thanks to Gulbadin Naib's half-century of 57 runs, Afghanistan gave India a target of 173 runs to win after a bad start. India won the toss and invited Afghanistan to bat first at the Holkar Stadium here today. The Afghanistan team, which came to bat, did not have a good start and lost its first wicket in the form of Rahmanullah Gurbaz for 14 runs in the third over itself. After this, captain Ibrahim Jardan returned to the pavilion after scoring eight. Azmatullah Umarzai was also out in the seventh over after scoring two runs.

The entire Afghanistan team was reduced to a score of 172 in the stipulated 20 overs. Arshdeep Singh took three wickets for India. Ravi Bishnoi and Akshar Patel got two wickets each. Shivam Dubey dismissed one batsman.
