IND vs WI: Shai Hope's captaincy innings, West Indies beat India by six wickets, series 1-1

The second match of the three-match ODI series being played between India and West Indies was played at the Kensington Oval in Barbados. Hope played an unbeaten inning of 63 runs off 80 balls. Apart from him, KC Carty scored 48 not out. Both shared a 91-run partnership for the 5th wicket.

Chasing the target of 182 runs, the West Indies started aggressively. Kyle Meyers and Brendan King scored quick runs and took the team's score to 50 runs inside the powerplay. Both added 53 runs for the first wicket. Shardul Thakur got India back in the match by dismissing both in the same over. Meyers scored 36 and King scored 15 runs. Athanje, who came at number three, also became the victim of Shardul, scoring six runs. After this, Kuldeep raised the hopes of the Indian fans by dismissing Hetmyer on the score of nine runs. However, skipper Shai Hope shared a brilliant fifth-wicket partnership with Casey Carty to take his team to the brink of victory.
