During the end of February and the entire month of March, people's work goes on with the fan, but by the middle of April, the need for air conditioners AC starts. In the month of May, the condition starts getting worse without AC. Once you get used to AC, then it becomes difficult to spend day and night without it. It should also be assumed that you will be able to work without AC during the day, but it becomes impossible to sleep at night. In such a situation, if your habit is also something like this, then after the implementation of the new rule being brought by the government, your pocket is going to be lighter.

The new electricity plan being brought by the central government will be applicable from April 1 next year. This will increase the rates of electricity. Due to this, if you run more air conditioners (AC) at night, then you will have to pay more bills. But during this time electricity will become cheaper during the day. It is being told that solar energy-powered electricity will be supplied during the day.

Hence electricity rates will be cheaper during the day. According to the new electricity tariff plan brought by the government, the daytime electricity rate will be reduced by 20% from the current price, but at night the average electricity rate will increase by 10 to 20%. The government approved this new tariff plan yesterday, Friday, 23rd June.

After approving the new electricity tariff plan, Union Power Minister Raj Kumar Singh said that it will help the customers to reduce electricity bills. It is believed that this step of the government will increase the demand for electricity produced from solar and renewable energy sources in the country and reduce dependence on old methods. Along with this, in view of the possibility of getting higher bills during the peak hour i.e. when the maximum power consumption is there, the customers will be economical in consumption during this period.

The new electricity traffic plan will not apply to farmers. TOD tariff will be applicable from April 01, 2024, next year for customers consuming electricity of 10 kW or more, while for other customers this rule will be applicable from April 01, 2025. There will be no change in the regulations for the farmers.

Their interests have been taken care of so that the burden on their pockets does not increase. The way he used to get the bill before, the same will come in the future. According to the information received so far, through this new rule, the government will purchase and supply more solar energy from electricity distribution companies. This will reduce their expenditure.
