Gabba's pride broken again, West Indies created history, defeated Australia at their home after 30 years

In the second Test played at The Gabba in Brisbane, the Caribbean team created a major upset and defeated Australia by 8 runs. West Indies have won on Australian soil after thirty years. This is the first time since 2003 that the Caribbean team has defeated Australia in a match.

Caribbean fast bowler Shamar Joseph took seven wickets while bowling component. Australia had a bad start in the second innings and except Smith, no batsman could play a big innings. Cameron Green was out after scoring 42 runs. There was a partnership of 71 runs in 127 balls between Green and Smith. Apart from these two, the biggest score for Australia was Mitchell Starc who was out after scoring 21 runs. Steve Smith scored the most runs in the second innings for Australia with 91 not out. Australia needed 216 runs to win but the entire team collapsed for 207 runs.

Shamar Joseph bowled brilliantly for West Indies and took seven wickets in the second innings. Alzarri Joseph got two wickets. Justin Greaves dismissed one batsman. At the end of the day's play yesterday, opener Steve Smith was at the crease with 33 not out and Cameron Green with 9 not out. To turn the match in their favour aggressively, Australia can start the fourth day with an attack on the Caribbean bowlers, however, it will not be easy for Kemar Roach, Alzarri Joseph, Shamar Joseph and Justin Greaves to score the required 156 runs for the target.

After taking a significant lead of 22 runs in the first innings, West Indies tried to play well in the second innings despite losing the first wicket early. West Indies were all out on the score of 193 with the help of captain Kraigg Brathwaite 16 runs, Kirk McKenzie 41 runs, Alec Ethanage 35 runs, Justin Greaves 33 runs and Kavem Hodge 29 runs. Hazlewood took three wickets and Lyon took three wickets in limiting the second innings of West Indies, while Cameron Green and Mitchell Starc also dismissed one batsman each.

In the first innings, West Indies scored 311 runs thanks to half-century innings of 79 runs by Joshua Dasilva, 71 runs by Kavem Hodge and 50 runs by Kevin Sinclair. After this, Australia came to bat and scored 289 runs in its first innings with the help of Usman Khawaja 75 runs, Alex Carey 65 runs and captain Pat Cummins' unbeaten 64 runs. Alzarri Joseph took four wickets for West Indies. Kemar Roach got three wickets. Shamar Joseph and Kevin Sinclair had dismissed one batsman each.
