Free entry in the stadium, fans will not have to pay a single rupee to watch the Asia Cup

Sri Lanka Cricket on Friday announced free entry to the stadium for fans for the Women's T20 Asia Cup 2024 from July 19. The day one of this tournament is scheduled to have the Harmanpreet Kaur-led Team India take on arch-nemesis Pakistan at the Dambulla International Cricket Stadium on July 19. SLC, in a statement on Friday, said, "Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, UAE, Nepal, Malaysia and Thailand will compete in this tournament.".

In Group 'A', it will beIndia, Pakistan, UAE and Nepal, while in Group 'B', Bangladesh takes on Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Thailand. Hosts Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, United Arab Emirates, Nepal, Malaysia, and Thailand will comprise the teams participating in one of the most important competitions in women's cricket in the Asian region. A total of 15 games will be played, including two semi-finals, followed by the final.

The opening game of the Women's T20 Asia Cup 2024 will be between UAE and Nepal. The home team will start on July 20 against Bangladesh. "The first day will see the United Arab Emirates take on Nepal at 2 pm, followed by India and Pakistan at 7 pm. Sri Lanka kicks off its campaign in the competition against Bangladesh on the 20th of July at 7 pm. ".
