Nadia Jameel recently had a tweet. In it, she wrote, "I was 4 years old when I was sexually assaulted for the first time. This happened to me again at the age of 9 and again at the age of 17. It plunged me into a quagmire of depression, sadness, fear, and shame. It took me two years to fight these things but I came out of it and today I am living happily. In such a situation, I think it is necessary to talk about it and move forward.

Talking about the reason why Nadi Jameel came out with the incident, she said, “Our domestic help was the one who did what happened to me. Perhaps neither I could tell it to anyone nor anyone in the family could understand. Because it was neglected in childhood, it happened to me again."

Nadia said, after the incident of child abuse in Kasur, I realized that I should give due importance to this incident. I thought I should share that sexual abuse has happened to me too. So that children realize that everything is not over, they can move forward. I just listened to my heart and spoke my mind.
