Electric scooters of Ola, TVS and Ather become costlier, now customers' pockets will be more loose

Under the FAME-II subsidy, a 40% subsidy was being given by the government on electric two-wheelers. But it has been reduced to 15% from June 1, 2023. In such a situation, when the subsidy has decreased, due to this the companies have to increase the prices of the vehicles and this will directly affect the pocket of the customers.
If you are now planning to buy Ola electric scooter, then now you will have to pay a higher price. All the scooters of the company have become costlier by around Rs 15,000. The price of the Ola S1 Pro is now Rs 1,39,999. While the S1 (3KWh) will now be sold for Rs 1,29,999 and the S1 Air (3KWh) for Rs 1,09,999.
Ather Energy has increased the prices of its 450X scooter. Now the starting price of Ather 450 X has gone up to Rs 1,45,000. Whereas, the price of 450X with a Pro pack starts at Rs 1,65,435, an increase of around Rs 8,000. Ravneet, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said that the FAME II revision has resulted in a reduction in subsidy of about Rs 32,000.
TVS Motor Company informed that the price of iQube has been increased between Rs 17,000 to Rs 22,000 after the FAME II scheme revision. The iQube base and S trims were earlier priced at Rs 1,06,384 and Rs 1,16,886 respectively in Delhi.
