Due to leap year, petrol pumps in this country stopped working

This time the year 2024 is of Leap Year, and much such news is heard regarding Leap Year which seems quite interesting and unheard of. Another such case has come from New Zealand, where due to leap year the petrol pumps there stopped working. But when its reason was revealed, everyone was surprised.

There was a leap year glitch in the payment software working at the petrol pump, that is, there was an error in the software regarding the date and year, due to which the software stopped working, and the payment of petrol was disrupted. It was not happening and it had to be closed.

Petroleum companies like Allied Fuel, Gul, Z Energy and BP had issued statements saying that the self-service petrol pumps operated by them were not functioning due to a glitch in the payment system used there. After this, Karthik Ganapathy, President of Payment Software GVR (Invenco) investigated and fixed this error. After which the software started working. He said we acknowledge the challenge this issue poses to our customers and thank our New Zealand customers for their patience and partnership during this time.

He said in a statement that after fixing the glitch, the site is now working normally online and is also resolving any customer's dues-related issues. This case came only in New Zealand. No such problem was seen in other countries where this software works.
