Amrish Puri, who became a villain in Bollywood, died on 12th January. He died of a serious disease. He met with an accident in 2003 and fate gave him a wound from which he could not recover and he died after 2 years in 2005. He was struck by a disease from which it was impossible to get out. This disease was Myelodysplastic syndrome. A type of blood cancer.

Amrish Puri was so gripped by cancer that he could never recover. There was mourning in the entire cinema world due to the demise of 72-year-old Amrish Puri. The symptoms of the cancer syndrome that Amrish Puri had include fatigue, difficulty in breathing, pale body, abnormal formation of blisters or bleeding. This happens because the red blood cells in the body start decreasing. It is also called 'Bone Marrow Failure Disorder'. This mostly happens in people above 65 years of age.

In an interview given to 'Filmfare', Amrish Puri's son Rajiv Puri told the entire story of his father. Recalling that terrible accident, Rajiv had told that in 2003, the shooting of Guddu Dhanoa's film 'Jaal: The Trap' was going on in Himachal Pradesh. Papa's accident happened there. He had a lot of injuries on his face and eyes and was also bleeding heavily. Papa was hurriedly taken to the hospital. Doctors told that he needed blood. Blood was transfused, but during that time something went wrong because after this, Papa got Myelodysplastic Syndrome, a blood-related disease.

Rajiv Puri had told that when father was very ill and his condition was bad, I had asked him how is his health now, and he had said that it was better than before, but then one day Amrish Puri collapsed at home. He had suffered a brain haemorrhage. Due to this, he died.
