Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will leave for France and Italy, important tour to strengthen defense relations
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is going to visit Italy and France from 09 to 12 October. On Sunday, a release by the Ministry of Defense said that he would meet Italian Defense Minister Guido CrSeto in Rome during the first phase of his two countries. The Union Minister is also going to discuss possible opportunities for industrial cooperation.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to leave for Italy and France. According to the information, he will be on a tour of foreign countries from October 09 to October 12. This information has been given by the Ministry of Defense. Also, a release stated on Sunday that during the first phase of his two-countries visit, he is scheduled to meet Italian Defense Minister Guido CrSeto in Rome.
The relations between India and Italy were extended to a strategic partnership during the Italian Prime Minister's visit to India in March 2023.
The release stated that during the second and final phase, Rajnath Singh will conduct a 5th annual defense dialogue with his counterpart, French Armed Forces Minister Sebastian Lecornu in Paris. India and France recently celebrated the completion of 25 years of strategic partnership. The two countries have strong and comprehensive bilateral defense relations including significant industrial cooperation.
In both Rome and Paris, the Union Ministers will also interact with the CEOs and senior representatives of the defense industry to discuss the possible opportunities for industrial cooperation.
