Saturday night's flood caused devastation in Western Sumatra, Indonesia. However, this flood was not a normal flood, but a flood of cold lava. This flood was caused by cold lava flowing from Mount Merapi, an active volcano in Indonesia, and the cold lava was mixed with flood water, mud, and rain. Because of this, there was an outcry in the entire area.

So far, the death toll in West Sumatra due to the flood of cold lava has reached 58. There is also a possibility of an increase in the number of deaths.

West Sumatra's cooled lava flood has caused numerous injuries. For medical attention, the wounded have been admitted to the hospital. Meanwhile, 35 individuals are still unaccounted for, and searches are ongoing.

West Sumatra has been devastated by cooled lava floods. The property has suffered harm in addition to loss of life. This flood has destroyed about 250 houses. Additionally, this has caused damage to about 225 hectares of land. Rice fields are also on the damaged land. In addition, numerous bridges and dams have sustained damage.

More than 3 thousand people have been evacuated to safe places to save themselves from the flood of cold lava in West Sumatra.

Currently, the floods have stopped in West Sumatra, but according to the Indonesian Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in West Sumatra in a few days. In such a situation, problems like floods and landslides may arise again. In such a situation, the Meteorological Department has asked people to be careful and stay away from mountains, seas, and rivers.
