Nagaland has been receiving heavy rains since the Remal cyclone. Nearly four people died in the state due to heavy rains. At the same time, more than 40 houses have been damaged. The cyclonic storm hit the coastal areas of West Bengal on Sunday night. Bengal-Bangladesh suffered the most damage due to the storm. At the same time, there was an alert in Nagaland-Odisha also due to the storm. 

A seven-year-old boy drowned in the Meluri subdivision following heavy rains caused by the cyclone, a Nagaland official said on Tuesday. On Monday, two people drowned in the Doyang Dam in the Wokha district. Apart from this, an elderly man died after a wall collapsed in Phek district. He said the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) has received reports of damage to houses and properties from across the state. Chuchuyimlang village in Mokokchung district, Noxen subdivision of Tuensang district, and Awotsakili village in Zunheboto district are badly affected, the report said. NDRF is also ready for relief and rescue.

For Arunachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert. On Tuesday, Chief Minister Pema Khandu requested the state's residents to exercise extreme caution and stay away from storm-affected areas. On Tuesday and Wednesday, Kurung Kumey, Lower Subansiri, Shi-Yomi, West Siang, Lohit, Changlang, Tirap, and Longding districts are expected to experience intense rain and lightning, according to the weather department.

Affected by the heavy rains, normal life was disrupted in many parts of Manipur. The East Imphal district's waterlogging caused traffic problems at Andro Parking, Checkon, Mahabali, and Wangkhei. There have been no reported deaths or injuries in the state as of yet.

A truck fell into a ditch due to a landslide near Sinam village in Kangpokpi district on the NS 37 Imphal-Silchar highway, an official said. Many rivers are in spate in the Senapati district. Flood water entered many areas of the district.

A mine collapsed due to heavy rains on the outskirts of Mizoram's capital Aizawl. So far 12 people have lost their lives in this accident, while two people have been rescued. Policemen are engaged in rescue work. The level of rivers has also increased due to heavy rains. People living on the river banks have to leave their homes and go to safe places.
