According to news agency Reuters, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) report claims that Indian researchers did not find any evidence that COVID-19 vaccination has caused deaths. The research claimed that the reason behind his death could be smoking, drinking excess alcohol, consumption of drugs, and intoxicants.
Actually, the Indian Council of Medical Research conducted a study on the deaths of persons aged between 18 to 45 years between October 2021 and March 2023. Some 729 cases and 2,916 controls were included in this analysis.
A study published in the Indian Journal of Medical Research said that no evidence related to Covid-19 vaccination was found behind these deaths. Researchers said COVID-19 vaccination did not increase the risk of sudden unexplained deaths among young adults in the country.
Government figures show India has reported 45 million cases of COVID-19 infection and 533,295 deaths, but experts say the real number is many times higher. During the Covid crisis, many Indian hospitals faced a shortage of beds and many people died at home.
