Cloud burst in Solan, Himachal; 7 family members died, 6 were rescued
Cloud burst in Himachal Pradesh: Heavy rains continue in Himachal Pradesh. Heavy devastation has once again been caused by rains and landslides. Seven people died due to a cloudburst in Jadon village of Mamlig sub-tehsil of Kandaghat sub-division in Solan district at 1.30 am.

The heavy rains in the mountains have created havoc. There is a hue and cry in Himachal Pradesh due to torrential rains. Cloud burst in Himachal's Solan and Sirmour. So far seven people have died in this accident. After the cloudburst, debris entered the houses of many people. Vehicles were swept away like straws in the strong current of water. In view of the havoc caused by the heavy rains in the past, the administration has directed the closure of schools and colleges in the affected areas. Today i.e. on August 14, there is a possibility of heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh.
The incident of cloudburst has come to light at 1.30 am in Jadon village of Mamlig sub-tehsil of Kandaghat sub-division in Himachal's Solan district. Two houses and a cowshed were washed away in it. Seven people of the same family have died in this incident. Four bodies have been retrieved, while the rest are being searched. 6 people have been rescued.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rains in Himachal Pradesh three days in advance. In view of the rain alert, a holiday has been declared for all schools and colleges. Apart from Himachal, a red alert has also been issued for heavy rains in Uttarakhand. It has been decided to keep schools and colleges closed in Dehradun today. Schools and colleges have been closed for the safety of children.
