China creates new record on moon, first country to do so

China has emerged as the first country in the world to bring samples from the moon's dark side. Although it has brought samples from the moon before, this time, samples from this side have reached Earth for the first time. Chin's Chang'e-6 spacecraft sent for this purpose landed safely in Mongolia on Tuesday. Scientists took the samples to the lab by helicopter.

The ascender mounted on China's spacecraft took samples from the moon's dark side and flew toward the Earth on June 4. It took 21 days to reach China. As per ANI, an ascender is a device that comes back to its orbit from the moon's surface. China's space agency CNSA launched the mission last month. It made a successful landing on the far side of the moon on June 2. This also turned China into the first nation in the whole world to land a spacecraft in this part twice.

This was not an easy mission for China. The Chang'e-6 spacecraft landed in the Aitken Basin of the South Pole of the Moon. It is a giant crater on the moon formed due to the fall of a meteorite. There are so many deep craters here that it hinders the communication system. The spacecraft worked according to its intelligence, and the program loaded into the onboard computer.

The success of the mission has increased China's dominance in the space sector. Along with sending astronauts to the moon, America wants to build its base there, too. After the Chang'e-6 mission, it could be possible for China get to do this work before America and other countries.
