Bushra Bibi, wife of former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, has knocked on the door of Islamabad High Court in the non-Islamic Nikah case. Actually Bushra Bibi and Imran Khan were found guilty in the Iddat case, due to which Imran Khan and his wife are lodged in Adiala Jail. Bushra Bibi has objected to a petition filed with the aim of stopping their sentence and ensuring their release on bail.

This information has come from Pakistan Geo News. He claimed that Imran had to face many difficult situations in Adiala Jail, and he has termed the matter as politically motivated.

While waiting for the judge's decision, both Bibi and her husband had protested their sentence in the sessions court. Now seeking justice, they have appealed to the court to hear their petition soon. During the hearing conducted by Judge Majuka on June 7, the court adjourned the case till July 11.

The hearing is going to resume on June 11. They filed the petition through their lawyer Salman Safdar. According to the petition, the hearing on their appeal against the sentence is pending. The petition states, 'In the interest of justice, it is necessary to take a decision soon on the suspension of the sentence of the petitioner (Bushra).'

In February, they were each given a seven-year prison sentence. According to a lower court, their Nikaah is fake. Bushra's former spouse had contested their union in court, arguing that it happened during their Iddat period. He claims that right after the divorce, they had done Nikaah during Iddat.

Both filed appeals in the district and session courts following the court's ruling. However, after Maneka voiced her lack of confidence in Judge Shahrukh Arjumand, the case was moved to Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majuka.
