BJP leaders angry over releasing controversial poster against PM
Posting on social media platform X, BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said Congress should be derecognized and banned.
BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi on Saturday demanded from the Election Commission to ban the country's oldest party Congress. In fact, the Kerala Congress unit had released a poster in which the image of Muhammad bin Tughlaq from textbooks was distorted to make the ruler look like PM Modi. Congress had posted it on the official handle of Kerala Congress.
Posting on social media platform X, he said, 'Congress' recognition should be canceled and the party should be banned.' Earlier, the Kerala Congress unit had posted on Twitter saying, 'Mr Prime Minister, if you are keen to update the textbooks then please replace the Tughlaq period with your era.'
BJP portrayed Rahul Gandhi as Ravana
On Thursday, BJP had posted a post on Facebook in which they had portrayed Rahul Gandhi as Ravana. He wrote in the caption, Ravana of the new era is here. He is a demon, anti-religious and anti-Ram. His only goal is to destroy India.
There was panic in Congress after this post. Party MP Manikam Tagore called it unfortunate and condemnable. He also demanded an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP National President JP Nadda on this. On the poster controversy, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut said that PM Modi and Amit Shah are scared of Rahul Gandhi's increasing popularity. PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti had claimed that BJP was disappointed with the entry of India alliance.
