Big update about Mahindra 5 Door Thar! Price leaked from launch  

The waiting list for Mahindra's 5 doors is getting longer in India at this time. Keeping in mind the needs of the customers, its 5-door version is going to be launched soon in India, according to media reports, it will be unveiled on 15 August 2023. Testing of the 5-door Mahindra Thar has been going on for a long time now. The launch of Maruti Jimny in India is just around the corner, however, there will not be any major competition between the two vehicles as there is a slight difference between them in terms of size and engine. According to the reports, you will get a longer wheelbase in the 5-door Thar as compared to the 3-door Thar. Along with this, an increased track will be seen in it.

Talking about the engine, the Mahindra Thar 5 Door will get a 2.2-liter diesel engine and a 2.0-liter petrol engine. Apart from this, 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed torque converter automatic units will be seen in it. The 5-door model could also be offered with 2WD and 2WD options. The expected price of 5 door Mahindra Thar can start from Rs.12 Lakh onwards.

Thar's craze is increasing continuously, for information, Mahindra & Mahindra did not launch Thar with rear-wheel drive (RWD) some time ago, which was liked by the customers, and it has been used for more than a year. Waiting is going on. But now the 5-door model of Thar is ready for launch in India which will not only get more space but will also have a longer wheelbase, 4 doors will be available in it while the 5th door will also be installed for boot.

Recently Mahindra Thar 5-Door was also spotted during testing. The leaked images suggest that the new model may get a hard top variant with a single-pane sunroof and removable panels. The current 3 door of Mahindra Thar does not feature a sunroof. The new Mahindra Thar 5-door will be based on the ladder-frame chassis of the existing Scorpio-N, which is made of solid steel.
