Ashwin returns to Chennai Super Kings before IPL 2025, gets this big responsibility

He will become the Chief of CSK High-Performance Centre. CSK's High-Performance Centre is being built on the outskirts of Chennai and is expected to open before the next IPL season.

Actually, according to a report by Indian Express, due to joining India Cements, Ashwin can rejoin CSK in the mega auction of IPL 2025. There is little chance of Rajasthan Royals retaining Ashwin, as they will be able to retain only 3+1 i.e. four players. On the other hand, if CSK is unable to get Ashwin in the mega auction, then it can trade him after the auction. In such a situation, Ashwin can be seen playing for CSK in the next season.

CSK CEO K Vishwanathan says that it will depend on the dynamics of the auction because we do not have control over it. We have to wait for it and see if the opportunity comes by itself. He said that first of all Ashwin will take charge of CSK's High Performance Center and look after its cricket-related work.

The CSK CEO further said that we have signed Ashwin. Now he is a part of the CSK venture. He will also play for India Cements in the TNCA First Division. At the same time, Ashwin said about his new role that my primary goal is to take the game forward and contribute to cricket.
