Anurag Kashyap is in discussion these days about his upcoming film 'Haddi'. Apart from this, Anurag is famous for expressing his opinion on every issue with impunity. Be it films or film stars, he openly expresses his opinion about everyone. Now he has talked about casting actors in his films. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap says he feels guilty for asking actors like Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vicky Kaushal to do his films now.
Anurag fondly remembers working with Nawazuddin and Vicky Kaushal. He said that now he does not like asking both the actors to work in his films and feels like a burden, as he knows that Nawazuddin and Vicky's fees are more than the budget of their films, but when they When actors are asked to work, they agree to work with the producer for free.
Anurag said that he does not want to misuse this privilege with her. Even if they know they won't say no to them. He said that when he did 'Raman Raghav 2.0' Nawazuddin told him not to worry about money and Vicky Kaushal didn't charge him a single penny for his extended cameo in 'Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat'. Anurag's films have provided a huge platform to both the actors at a time when they were trying to make their mark.
Anurag Kashyap said that I am not afraid of making films with very good actors, at a time when I can afford them and my budget is so low that I have nothing to lose. If, today you ask me if I can make 'Raman Raghav' with Vicky on the same budget then I can't because his fee is more. When told that Vicky would probably reduce his fee for her, he said that it is a two-way street. If I am making a low budget film, Vicky will come and do it for free, which is a burden for me. Of course, I feel guilty. Vicky made 'Almost Pyaar with DJ Mohabbat' for me. He came, he gave me his dates, he didn't even take any money from me.
Anurag said that when he was making 'Raman Raghav 2.0' he did not know how to tell Nawazuddin that he could not tolerate him anymore. It was Nawazuddin who told him to stop worrying about money. However, the filmmaker added that if he feels that the actors have not done a good job, he does not hesitate to reach out to those whom he considers near and dear. And that includes Vicky.
