After getting hurt, Shamar Joseph, who caused havoc against Australia, will not play in the ILT20

Shamar Joseph Gaba, a fast bowler for the West Indies, will not be playing in the ILT20 because of an injury he received during the Test match. He played in the ILT20 for Dubai Capitals. After the Australia tour, he was meant to play for the ILT20, but an injury forced him to return home before playing for Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL.

Gus Atkinson has been replaced on the team by Joseph. Atkinson is presently participating in a five-Test series in India as a member of the England squad. Joseph won't leave the Peshawar team, even if Atkinson comes back.

After his performance in the Gabba Test, Joseph had said, 'I will always be ready to play Test cricket for the West Indies. I don't have any kind of fear in saying it live. There will come a time when T20 league and Test cricket will be going on simultaneously but then I will give priority to playing for West Indies, no matter how much money I am being paid.

Notably, Mitchell Starc hit Joseph's shoes with a yorker during the Gabba Test. But nowhere in the scan report was there any reference to a fracture. Nevertheless, Joseph bowled one of the greatest spells in Test history on the fourth day at Gabba, despite his pain. He made 68 runs off of seven wickets. Since 1997, the West Indies had not won a Test match in Australia before.
