The court has issued guidelines for this.
Bollywood star Ameesha Patel will have to pay Ajay Kumar Singh, the complainant, Rs 2.75 crore throughout five instalments. The complainant received a cheque for Rs 20 lakh as the first instalment on his behalf.
Video conferencing was used by both sides to communicate during the National Lok Adalat in Ranchi. Judge Sujit Narayan Prasad of the High Court spoke with each side. The agreement states that Ameesha will pay Rs 50 lakh in the second instalment, Rs 70 lakh in the third, Rs 62 lakh in the fourth, and Rs 62 lakh in the final instalment due on July 31, 2024. He had also given its checks.
This matter is of the year 2018. Ranchi film producer Ajay Kumar Singh had filed a case against Ameesha Patel. In this, he had alleged that Ameesha Patel had taken Rs 2.50 crore from him in the name of music making. Even after taking the money, he did not take any steps towards music making. Along with this, Ameesha Patel was also accused of extorting Rs 2.50 crore from Ajay Singh in the name of making the film 'Desi Magic'.
According to the contract between the two, when the film was not released in June 2018, Ajay demanded money from Ameesha. After much procrastination, two checks of Rs 2.50 crore and Rs 50 lakh were given in October 2018, which bounced. In this case, summons were issued several times to Ameesha Patel for her appearance. Despite this, she was not appearing in court herself or through her advocate.
After the warrant was issued, he surrendered in the civil court on June 19 last year. After the hearing, the court granted him bail on two bail bonds of Rs 10 thousand each.
