9 out of 10 customers are troubled by phone call drops, resort to internet calls; all three major companies increased tariffs
Telecom: A survey conducted with 32,000 people in 362 districts said that out of 89 percent people, 38 percent are those who have faced 20 percent phone call disconnection. 17 percent said that they face the problem of phone disconnection during about 50 percent of calls.
Even after the recent hike in tariff by up to 25 percent by the telecom companies, there has been no improvement in their services. Out of every 10 customers, 9 customers are facing call drops i.e. call getting disconnected while talking. To deal with this, people make internet calls. According to the survey of LocalCircles, cases of call drops have increased between March and June.

According to Amar Ujala, in the last two years, there has been an increase in mobile customers making their calls with the help of Wi-Fi on OTT apps. It gave better call service to the customers. One out of every three customers is forced to make phone calls through Wi-Fi. The number of such customers increased in the last two years.
