Three blasts took place at a convention center in Ernakulam, Kerala on Sunday. One woman died in the incident, while 20 people were reported injured. According to reports, around 2 thousand people were praying in this convention center located in Kalamassery at around 9.30 in the morning, during which there were three consecutive explosions within 5 minutes.

TA Sreekumar, local spokesman for the Jehovah's Witnesses organization, said three blasts took place at the convention hall at 9:45 p.m. The explosions occurred within seconds of the prayer ending. The first explosion occurred in the middle of the hall. A few seconds later, two more explosions occurred on either side of the hall. Where the explosion took place in Ernakulam. High-level meeting held in Home Ministry
After the news of the blast, Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level meeting with officials of the Home Ministry and security agencies. Shah took complete information about the incident from the officers. Apart from this, instructions were given to send NIA and IB teams to investigate the blast. Shah is in Madhya Pradesh on a 3-day tour from October 28. He joined the meeting virtually.

All hospitals of Ernakulam on alert
Kerala Health Minister Veena George has issued instructions to the department officials to provide better treatment to the people injured in the blast. All hospitals in Ernakulam have been alerted. The minister has directed all health workers, including doctors, who are on leave to return immediately. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to increase additional facilities in Kalamassery Medical College, Ernakulam General Hospital and Kottayam Medical College.
