Women's Reservation Bill (Nari Shakti Vandan Bill) was passed in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, the third day of the special session of Parliament. In the slip voting, 454 votes were cast in support of the bill and 2 against it. Now tomorrow (Thursday) this bill will be presented in the Rajya Sabha. After passing from there, it will go to the President for approval. This will become law after getting the approval of the President.

60 MPs expressed their views in the discussion on the bill. Rahul Gandhi said – This bill is incomplete without OBC reservation, while Amit Shah said – This reservation will be applicable equally to General, SC and ST. Census and delimitation will take place immediately after the elections and women's participation will soon increase in the House. Reservation will not come quickly by protesting.

Rahul Gandhi said - out of 90 secretaries who run the country, only 3 are OBC. In response to this, Shah, without taking Rahul's name, said that the country is run by the government, not the secretaries. If any NGO prepares a chit and gives it, then we tell.

Of the total BJP MPs, 85 are from OBC. Of the total BJP MLAs, 27% are from OBC. Of the total BJP MLCs, 40% are OBC. Law Minister Arjunram Meghwal said that I was an IAS before joining politics. The 1992 batch officer will become the secretary. Whose government was there at that time? He (Rahul Gandhi) is cursing his own government.

As soon as Shah spoke, there was an uproar and he said – Don't be afraid.
But Amit Shah came to answer the debate. He said- I am standing here to talk about the 128th amendment amending the Constitution. As soon as he said this, the opposition started creating ruckus. On this, Shah smiled and said like Rahul Gandhi – Don't be afraid.

Shah said- Women's Reservation Bill is an era changing bill. Tomorrow will be written in golden letters in the history of the Indian Parliament. Yesterday, Shri Ganesh was inaugurated for the first time in the new House, yesterday was Ganesh Chaturthi and for the first time, a bill pending for many years was passed. Out of the seats reserved for SC-ST in the country, 33 percent will also be reserved for women.

For some people, women empowerment may be an issue of winning elections, but for my party and my leader Modi, this issue is not a matter of politics but an issue of recognition. It was Modi who provided 33 percent reservation for women on party posts in BJP.

The people of the country made PM Modi the Prime Minister after the CM. After 30 years, a BJP government with full majority was formed under his leadership. At that time it was obvious that PM Modi resigned from the post of CM. Whatever money was in Modi's account at that time, he had sent his money to the accounts of Class 3 employees and daughters.

Today the number of women flying planes worldwide is 5%. The number of these women in India is 15%. This is women empowerment.

Shah said- This constitutional amendment has not come for the first time. Four attempts were made from Deve Gowda ji to Manmohan ji. Was the intention incomplete? First of all, the constitutional amendment on this came on 12 September 1996 during the time of Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. Congress was in opposition at this time. After placing the bill in the House, it was given to the committee headed by Geeta Mukherjee, but the bill could not reach the House.

When the 11th Lok Sabha came, the bill lapsed. After this, the bill came in the 12th Lok Sabha during the tenure of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, but it got deleted. The bill came again in the 13th Lok Sabha during the time of Atal ji, but the bill got deleted under Article 107.

After this Manmohan Singh brought the bill, but the bill was deleted. Shah said that no old bill is alive. When the Lok Sabha is dissolved, the pending bills lapse.

Before Shah, Rahul Gandhi said that I am in support of the Women's Reservation Bill, but it is incomplete. The President should have been present when the MPs were being moved from the old Parliament to the new Parliament.

I researched what is the participation of OBCs in our institutions. Out of the 90 secretaries who run the government, only three are from OBC. Change it as soon as possible. This is an insult to the OBC community.

When MPs created ruckus while Rahul was speaking, he said – Don't be afraid. Women also fought for the country's independence. There should be no delay at all on the Women's Reservation Bill and it should be implemented from today itself.

During this, Om Birla interrupted him and said – I appeal to Rahul Gandhi that all the members in the House are equal. So tell them 'Don't be afraid, don't be afraid.

Mahua said- Muslim women should also get benefits; Smriti said- no reservation on the basis of religion.

First of all, Law Minister Arjunram Meghwal told the House about the bill. After that, Sonia Gandhi spoke for 10 minutes on behalf of Congress. During the discussion, TMC MP Mahua Moitra demanded reservation for Muslim women also. Without naming Mahua Moitra, Union Minister Smriti Irani said - I want to tell those demanding Muslim reservation that reservation on the basis of religion is prohibited in the Constitution. Don't get trapped in the way the opposition is trying to confuse you.

Sonia said - implement it immediately, SP-NCP also demand reservation for OBC women. Sonia said, 'Congress demands that the bill be implemented immediately. The government should not stop it till delimitation. Before this, by conducting caste census, reservation should be made for SC-ST and OBC women in this bill.

Sonia said- Rajiv was the first to bring the women's reservation bill.
Sonia said, 'The law giving reservation to women in local bodies was first brought by my husband Rajiv Gandhi, which was defeated in the Rajya Sabha by 7 votes. Later the government of PV Narasimha Rao got it passed. The result of this is that there are 15 lakh elected women leaders in local bodies across the country. Rajiv's dream is only half fulfilled, with the passing of this bill the dream will be fulfilled.

On this, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey said that this is only PM Modi's bill, the name of the one who scored the goal is his. Our Prime Minister and our party have brought this bill and they are having a stomach ache.

Supriya Sule said- Flood is coming in the country, why called a special session?
Supriya Sule said that the former BJP chief of Maharashtra had told me on TV that Supriya Sule, you go home, cook food. Someone else will run the country. BJP should answer on this.

He said that women's reservation cannot be implemented until census and delimitation is done. Then why was a special session called for this? Could pass it in winter session also. There are floods in many parts of the country, what is the need to call a session at this time.
