Preparations are underway to run Vande Bharat sleeper trains on long-distance routes soon in the country. Its first batch will start next year. Giving information about this, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Integral Coach Factory ICF Chennai is preparing the design for the sleeper variant Vande Bharat trains by the end of December. The first few trains will be ready by March 2024.
The Railway Minister also said that currently around 22 Vande Bharat trains are being prepared as per schedule. Vande Bharat's sleeper trains will facilitate overnight travel for long-distance passengers.
