USA: America rejects China's claim on Arunachal Pradesh; Pannu case described as very serious
USA: The Indian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the claim made by China's Defense Ministry is completely absurd. Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will always be an integral part of India.

America has rejected China's claim on Arunachal Pradesh. America said that we would strongly oppose any change in the border unilaterally. Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, US State Department spokesperson Vedant Patel stated that the US opposes any unilateral military or civil action that would alter the Ladakh region, viewing Arunachal Pradesh as a part of India. China's Defence Ministry released a statement in response to Prime Minister Modi's visit to Arunachal Pradesh, stating that China will never recognise India's purported occupation of Arunachal Pradesh and that Xichang, the Chinese term for Tibet, is an essential component of China. Arunachal Pradesh is regarded by China as belonging to Tibet. But in response to China's declaration, the Indian Foreign Ministry also voiced strong opinions and provided China with a mirror image of Arunachal Pradesh. The Indian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the claim made by China's Defense Ministry is completely absurd. Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will always be an integral part of India.
The US government said that they are working with India in the case of conspiracy to murder Gurupatwant Singh Pannu. Last year, Indian citizen Nikhil Gupta was accused of conspiring to murder Khalistani terrorist Gurupatwant Singh Pannu in America. It is alleged that Nikhil Gupta, along with an Indian Government official, was conspiring to murder Pannu. The Government of India is also investigating this matter. US State Department official Donald Lu told the Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee that we are working closely with India so that those behind this are held accountable.
Donald Lu said that 'this is a serious matter between the two countries. The Justice Department has alleged that an Indian citizen was plotting to murder an American citizen in the United States at the behest of an Indian government official. We are taking this matter very seriously and are in touch with the top leadership of India on this matter. India has also formed a committee and started investigating the matter.
