Chilkur Balaji temple chief priest Rangarajan on Sunday called on the people of Tamil Nadu to oust the DMK from power and elect someone who believes in the temple system and Sanatan Dharma.
He said this in the context of Tamil Nadu government minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's appeal for the abolition of Sanatana Dharma. Expressing deep displeasure over Udhayanidhi's remarks, Rangarajan said that he should ask his father MK Stalin about the history of Sanatana Dharma. In a video message, Rangarajan along with other priests of the temple said - We have seen the statement of Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is a minister in the Tamil Nadu government.
He has compared Sanatan Dharma with malaria, coronavirus and dengue. First of all, he holds a constitutional post. They should not talk nonsense or things like that. He is also challenging that you people can go to any court. I am ready to face this challenge. We will not go to any court. Why should we go to court? We will ask the people of Tamil Nadu and also ask Udhayanidhi to please read history and ask your father, under whom you were trained.
