Young wrestler Neha Sangwan from Olympian Vinesh Phogat's village has won the title of new world champion by performing brilliantly in the Under 17 World Wrestling Championship. Neha won the gold medal representing India in the 57 kg weight category of the Under 17 World Wrestling Championship held in Jordan.
There is an atmosphere of happiness in her village and family including the country due to her achievement. Neha's mother talked about sweetening her mouth with churma when her daughter returned home. The entire family of this young wrestler wants to see her playing in the 2028 Olympics. Neha Sangwan represented India in the Under-17 World Wrestling Championship held in Jordan. She made it to the finals due to her excellent performance, where she faced a Japanese player. She won gold in the National Games in 2018, gold in the National Sub Junior Wrestling Competition in 2022, Bharat Kumari title in Faridabad in October 2023.
She has also won gold in the Asian Championship in 2022, gold in the National Federation Competition in 2022, and gold in the National Competition in 2022. She won gold in the Sub Junior Wrestling Competition in March 2023 and gold in the National Open Selection Competition this year. Apart from this, she has won the gold medal in the Sub Junior Asian Championship held in Kyrgyzstan in June 2023.
