There will be less tension on the border! Commander-level officers of India-China will meet tomorrow, talks will be held on Ladakh deadlock

The ongoing border tension between India and China is going to reduce. Tomorrow i.e. on August 14, the officers of Commander Lever of both countries are going to meet. There will be a 19th round of commander-level talks on Monday. It is believed that during this time, talks will be held with the military officers of both countries to end the deadlock on the eastern border with Ladakh. India will also press for the withdrawal of troops from the eastern Ladakh front. Prior to this, 18 rounds of commander-level talks have taken place between the two countries. There is a possibility of bilateral talks between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping after a full 4 years. Both leaders are going to be a part of the BRICS summit to be held in South Africa next month.

According to sources, it is being told that the 19th round of talks is likely to be held on the Indian side in the Chushul-Moldo area. In the next sequence of top-level military talks, India may insist on the disengagement of troops from the strategically important Depsang and Demchok areas of eastern Ladakh.

Officials from the Ministry of External Affairs and ITBP are also likely to participate in the talks. The two sides are expected to discuss issues related to DBO and CNN Junction as well as other matters. In many of the areas of eastern Ladakh where the dispute is going on, both sides have completed the process of withdrawal of troops from many areas.

Corps Commander-level talks between India and China are going to happen after four months. Prior to this, the Corps Commander level meeting between the two sides took place in April this year. Tension between the two countries has remained high ever since China aggressively tried to change the status quo along the Line of Actual Control in May 2020.
