Terrorist encounter in Rajouri, three soldiers martyred, one of them an officer

2 Lashkar terrorists arrested in Srinagar
On Wednesday, security forces arrested two terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. 2 pistols, 4 magazines, 2 filler magazines and 8 grenades have been recovered from them. Police said that both the terrorists were arrested on November 21. Mumtaz Ahmed Lone and Jahangir Ahmed Lone are residents of Trehgam in Kupwara.

First: 2 encounters on 17 November, 6 terrorists killed
On November 17, 6 terrorists were killed in two separate encounters in Rajouri and Kulgam. The first encounter started on 16 November in Kulgam and continued till 17 November. 5 terrorists were killed in this. All of them were involved in the recent target killing. The second encounter took place in Rajouri, in which 1 terrorist was killed. Second: Police inspector shot dead in October
A terrorist had shot three bullets at a police inspector in October Idgah area of Srinagar. Bullets hit his stomach, neck and eyes. The inspector was identified as Masroor Ali Wani. Terrorist organization TRF has taken responsibility for the attack. The attack took place when Masroor Wani was playing cricket with local boys.

Third: 3 officers, 2 soldiers were martyred in September
On September 13, 3 officers and two soldiers were martyred in two encounters with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. The martyred officers included an army colonel, a major and a police DSP. The terrorists had attacked the security forces during the search operation. During this period two terrorists were also killed. The army dog also died during the search here.

Fourth: 6 terrorists were caught on 9th August
Security forces had arrested 6 terrorists before August 15. The first case is of the night of 9th August, where three terrorists were caught in Athlan Gadole of Kokernag. Three people including an army soldier were injured during the encounter. The second case is of Uri, where security personnel caught 3 Lashkar terrorists.

Fifth: Three terrorists were killed on 6 August
On August 6, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police had killed two terrorists near the LoC in a joint operation. These terrorists were trying to infiltrate near the LoC. On the same day in the evening, another terrorist who was trying to infiltrate was killed.
