'Target of 20 billion dollars export from India by 2025'; World's top e-commerce company estimates

Investment: India is becoming the favorite destination of investors from all over the world. In the latest development, e-commerce company Amazon has set a target of 20 billion dollars of e-commerce exports from India in the next one year i.e. by 2025. The company has estimated that by the end of this year, about 13 billion dollars worth of exports can be done from India to other countries.

Amazon, the world's leading e-commerce, has targeted 13 billion dollars of exports from India by the end of this year. Its Amazon Global Selling program was launched in the year 2015. So far, 1.50 lakh exporters have joined it. All of them sell more than 40 crore Made in India products all over the world through Amazon.

Amazon said on Thursday that countries to which maximum exports are taking place include the US, UK, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Canada, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Australia, and Singapore amongst others. The states from which Amazon has the highest exports are Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Karnataka.

The annual growth is highest in exports of beauty and apparel, health and personal care, and toys. Amazon India Global Trade Director Bhupen Wakankar, "Through our program, we have actually changed the lives of the small and medium businessmen of the country; they have been selling Made in India products around the world." The company has targeted $20 billion in e-commerce exports from India by 2025.

Amazon said small cities of Uttar Pradesh are emerging as exporters. These include cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Meerut and Agra. More than 14,000 small businessmen have benefited from Amazon's program here. 8,000 businessmen have become exporters in Gurugram, Faridabad, Panipat, Yamuna Nagar, Ambala and Kurukshetra in Haryana. 6,000 exporters have benefited in Dehradun, Haridwar, and Udham Singh Nagar in Uttarakhand.
