Japanese Suzuki Motor Corporation Chairman and CEO Toshihiro Suzuki on Friday visited the Bio CNG plant located at Banas Dairy in Banaskantha. Last year, Japan's Suzuki and Banas Dairy signed a tripartite agreement in collaboration with NDDB (National Dairy Development Board) and started 5 new bio-CNG plants.
During the visit to Banas Dairy, Japanese Suzuki Motor Corporation Chairman and CEO Toshihiro Suzuki said, 'Our relations with India are very old. Maruti Suzuki is India's largest car manufacturer. We want to use bio-CNG as fuel in vehicles in the near future so that it does not affect the environment. This is a very good initiative. To speed up this project across the country, we are working with Banas Dairy and NDDB (National Dairy Development Board).
On the other hand, Banas Dairy Chairman Shankar Chaudhary said, 'Five years ago Banas Dairy started a bio-CNG plant. We did not have any research before then, but PM Modi promised us that 'Gobar' is not cow dung but 'Gobar Dhan', it is not waste but wealth. Banas Dairy acted upon those words.
After five years of success, we are confident that we can start more plants. Last year, Suzuki Company of Japan and Banas Dairy signed a tripartite agreement in collaboration with NDDB (National Dairy Development Board) and started 5 new plants with a capacity of 1 lakh kg of cow dung. Suzuki Chairman visited the plant on Friday and after inspecting it, he also agreed to some new agreements.
