Suryakumar Yadav's childhood coach got into trouble, lost his job, desperate for money, now took a big decision
India's T20 team's new captain Suryakumar Yadav is currently in Sri Lanka. But his childhood coach is in a lot of trouble. He has lost his job. He has informed Suryakumar about this. Suryakumar has talked about starting a cricket academy with him. Ashok may get his job back but he now wants to help the needy people.
Suryakumar Yadav has been handed the reins of the Indian T20 team. Sri Lanka's tour will mark his inauguration to the job. Surya Kumar Yadav is an outstanding T20 batsman, and with the power of his batting, he won many matches for Team India. However, his childhood coach, who brought Suryakumar Yadav here, is in a troublesome situation at the present moment. His financial condition remains very bad. He has lost his job at present.
Suryakumar's childhood coach Ashok Aswalkar is battling too many demons himself. He resigned from his job after 24 years and somehow survives now by earning 10,000 every month.
Ashok has been working in Anushakti Nagar, Chembur for two decades. He was working here as a curator and coach and was earning Rs 41,000 per month. He told Mid-Day newspaper, "I was working on the ground of Bhabha Atomic Research Center since 1989-90 and was also assisting Jagannath Phans as a groundsman and coach. I started working for 3000 per month, but when I was fired from the job in December 2023, I was getting 26,000 per month as a groundsman and 15,000 as a coach."
Ashok said that he did not even tell his family about losing the job but definitely told Suryakumar about it. He said, "I did not even tell my family that I had lost my job. I just messaged Surya and told him who was behind this. Surya has stopped talking to that person."
Ashok said that he had gone to a wedding and after that, the atmosphere turned against him. He said, "I had gone to attend my nephew's wedding. They asked me to meet them in the office on December 31. I went, but no one even talked to me. I stayed there for three hours. I was told through a message to go home now and we will call you later. When I was called after a week, no one came to meet me."
He said, "After a month, I got a message that some members wanted to meet me. I met Ramkant Sahu and talked to him. Apart from him, I also met two other members. They asked me questions and listened carefully to what I said. The committee members said that they would meet me again soon. But no one has talked yet. The last salary I got was Rs 26,911 in December 2023." Sahu said that whatever happened with Ashok was the result of poor communication and he was unhappy for some reasons.
Sahu said that if Ashok forgets everything and moves forward, then he can give him his job back. Ashok, however, is not in this mood. He is going to do something new with Suryakumar. Ashok said, "I am coaching the youth in indoor turf. I have talked to Suryakumar and our effort is to start a cricket academy. We both want to coach the needy people. Money has never been a priority for us, nor will it ever be in the future."
