Split in NCP! Ajit Pawar joins Shinde-BJP government, 9 MLAs get ministerial posts

Once again a big political upheaval has come in Maharashtra. There has been a split in the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) with Ajit Pawar joining the Shiv Sena and BJP alliance. There is news of Ajit Pawar getting the post of Deputy Chief Minister in the Shinde government, the swearing-in ceremony is expected to take place at Raj Bhavan shortly. Ajit Dada has reached Raj Bhavan with at least 18 NCP MLAs.
According to information, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis have also left for Raj Bhavan. Jit Pawar along with his faction has joined the BJP-Shinde faction alliance. After Shiv Sena in Maharashtra, now there is a big break in NCP. Ajit Pawar has revolted in the party for the second time.
There was a meeting of several big NCP MLAs at Ajit Pawar's residence on Sunday morning. After several hours of meeting, Ajit Pawar went to the Raj Bhavan with the MLAs of his camp. Ajit Pawar is going to get the post of Deputy Chief Minister. Sources said that 9 MLAs of NCP can take oath as ministers. 30 NCP MLAs are with Ajit Pawar.
At the meeting held at NCP leader Ajit Pawar's residence, NCP chief Sharad Pawar said, "I don't know exactly why this meeting has been called but as the leader of the opposition, he (Ajit Pawar) has the right to call a meeting of legislators. He does this regularly. I don't know much about this meeting."
It is to be known that in 2019, Ajit Pawar joined hands with Fadnavis overnight, forming a short-term government in Maharashtra amidst the discussion of the formation of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). Fadnavis was then sworn in as Chief Minister and Ajit Pawar as Deputy Chief Minister. However, this government fell within three days. In fact, after the 2019 assembly elections in Maharashtra, the Shiv Sena left the BJP. After this, an alliance (MVA) of Congress, NCP, and Shiv Sena came into existence.
