Shadow of mourning in Pakistan on Eid, 17 pilgrims going to Dargah died in a horrific road accident
This accident (Pilgrims killed in Pakistan) happened in Balochistan. A truck was carrying more than 70 passengers. In the darkness of the night, the driver lost his senses and the truck fell into a ditch.

In Balochistan, Pakistan, a tragic accident has occurred. Over seventy people were being transported in a truck to the Dargah when it struck a ditch. This caused the immediate deaths of 17 passengers. Severe injuries were sustained by over 35 individuals. At Karachi's Civil Hospital, he is receiving treatment. This incident (Pilgrims killed in Pakistan), according to a report from a Pakistani news channel, took place in Balochistan's Hub district. On Wednesday at 11 p.m., Balochistan Police were notified of the accident. The bodies of the deceased were removed and people were saved after the police arrived at the scene with the relief and rescue team and after roughly two hours of work.
According to the report, these travellers were going to pay homage to the remote Muslim Sufi Dargah Shah Noorani in the Khuzdar district of Balochistan when the accident happened. Truck driver Karim Baksh, who was injured in the incident, has also been taken into custody.
Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sakro Wajid Ali said that in the dark of the night, due to the carelessness of the driver, he was not aware of the turn coming ahead and instead of turning at the turn, the bus went straight and fell into the ditch.
The police officer said that the truck had left from Kasim Jokhio village of Makli in Hub district to take more than 70 people to the dargah. Of the 17 people who died, 15 have been identified. The remaining injured have been admitted to Karachi Civil Hospital. Those killed will be buried in their native village Makli.
Here, the families of the victims and the deceased say that this truck had left Makli at 2 pm while the accident happened at 8 pm. He got information about the accident at 9 pm. At least 20 people have died in this accident. All the people belong to the same village Kasim Goth of Makli and visit the Dargah every year. Police say that all the pilgrims were from Thatta district of Sindh.
There is also anger among the families over the huge difference in the information given by the police and the families of the victims. He says that the police are telling the number of deaths as less and the time of the accident as per their wish, which shows that they are shirking their responsibility.
