Services restored at all airports in the country after global outage, Civil Aviation Ministry gave information
Civil Aviation Minister K Ram Mohan Naidu said that the airline system has started working normally at the airports affected due to the global outage on Friday. While some remaining services will be resolved by Saturday afternoon. He said that the ministry is constantly monitoring the operations of airports and airlines so that travel and refunds can be taken care of.
One of the global outages is on July 19, which affected hours of functioning big companies. It is Crowdstrike, a cyber security firm update that caused a global outage worldwide. Following this update, Microsoft Windows started facing problems worldwide but now things are back to normal. Union Minister said, "The problems which have been caused by the outage have almost solved and other things are slowly normalized.".
On Friday, an airline system started regularly at the affected airports because of the global outage, said the Minister of Civil Aviation, K Ram Mohan Naidu. He added that while some residual services would be restored by Saturday afternoon, the Ministry is constantly monitoring the airport and airline operations in respect to travel and refunds.
Naidu said in the statement that the airline system has started working normally at all airports from 3 am on Saturday. Now flight operations are working smoothly.
Online passenger booking, reservation and boarding systems were disrupted in the wake of global outage. Following the disruption in power supply, the system was shifted to manual mode, which consumed more time while dealing with passengers. This caused hundreds of flights to be canceled.
