Retail inflation at 5 month low

According to the data released on Monday, retail inflation has come down to 4.87% in October due to falling prices of vegetables. This is the lowest level of retail inflation in 5 months.

There was a decline in the prices of gold and silver on the second day of Diwali. The price of 24 carat gold has fallen by Rs 348 to Rs 59,892 per 10 grams. Whereas silver has weakened by Rs 1016 to Rs 69,400.

- Wholesale inflation figures for October will be released today i.e. Tuesday (November 14). India's wholesale inflation rose to -0.26% in September amid decline in food prices. This was the sixth consecutive month when wholesale inflation remained below zero.
- PC Jewelers will announce the results of the second quarter (July-September) of the financial year 2023-24 today. Apart from this, results of Kalyan Jewelers India, India Bulls Housing Finance, NMDC and National Fertilizers will also be released.
- According to BSE holiday calendar, stock markets will remain closed today due to Balipratipada. Trading will start in the stock exchange from November 15. On Monday, the Sensex fell by 325 points and closed at the level of 64,933. At the same time, Nifty also fell by 82 points, it closed at the level of 19,443.
- There is no change in the prices of petrol and diesel even today. At present, petrol in Delhi is being sold at Rs 96.72 per liter while diesel is being sold at Rs 89.62 per litre. Whereas in Mumbai, petrol is available at Rs 106.31 and diesel at Rs 94.27 per litre.
