Raveena filed a defamation case against a person in the fake video case of assault
Raveena Tandon: Actress Raveena Tandon has sent a defamation notice to a person for not removing the video posted on social media in connection with the alleged road rage incident.

Raveena Tandon, an actress, recently made headlines for a viral video. A man released a video on social media accusing Raveena of misbehaving with an elderly woman while drinking and hitting some people with a car. However, the actress was proved innocent throughout the police investigation. After reviewing the CCTV footage, Mumbai Police later revealed that the man's charges against the actress were unfounded. Raveena has now approached the court on this case. According to news agency PTI, Raveena alleged defamation.
Actress Raveena Tandon has sent a defamation notice to a person for not removing the video posted on social media in connection with the alleged road rage incident. In the video that went viral on social media, the man had claimed that Raveena Tandon's car had hit his mother, and upon questioning, he had accused the actress of assaulting his mother. The man had also claimed that the incident took place when his mother, sister, and niece were near the actor's house here.
However, the Mumbai Police investigation found that the actress' car had not hit anyone. The defamation notice sent through advocate Sana Khan said that the actress had informed the man about the true and correct facts revealed in the police investigation. According to the defamation notice, the man asked the actress to send a request letter demanding removal of the video from her ex-account, which was sent through email on June 5.
The notice said to the man, "You have refused to remove the post from your ex handle and further threatened our client that if the said request letter is not withdrawn within 24 hours, they will initiate legal action". In the notice, the actress said that the person has maligned her image on social media and news portals through the video, which is definitely fake news and also derogatory. The notice further states that this video has been made to mentally harass her and defame her publicly. In the notice, lawyer Sana Khan has written, 'We are taking all necessary legal steps to resolve the issue and ensure that justice is served and action is taken against the person for continuing this derogatory campaign'.
