Rahul Gandhi on PM Modi: Congress leader and former MP Rahul Gandhi has targeted PM Modi's visit to France. Referring to Manipur violence, he said- Manipur was burnt, and it is being discussed in the EU, but our PM is completely silent.
More than two months have passed since the caste violence between the Kuki and Meitei communities in Manipur started on May 3, yet the fire of this violence is not taking its name to stop. Due to this violence, there is an atmosphere of panic in most parts of Manipur. There was a discussion in the European Union on this matter, on which India took a strong stand and said that this is our internal matter. No extraneous interference will be tolerated. Now Congress leader and former Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi has targeted PM Modi regarding this matter. He questioned the silence of the PM regarding the discussion in the Parliament of the European Union regarding the Manipur violence. Along with this, Rahul also targeted PM Modi's visit to France. He linked the PM being made the chief guest on the National Day of France with the Rafale deal.
Rahul Gandhi tweeted and wrote – Manipur has been burnt. India's internal issue has been discussed in the Parliament of the European Union (EU), but the Prime Minister is silent. Meanwhile, the Raphael deal got him a ticket to Bastille Day. Through this tweet, Rahul is accusing PM Modi of the fact that if India had not signed a defense deal with France, PM Modi would not have been given respect there.
At the time of the PM's visit to France, the Government of India informed about the decision to buy 26 Naval Rafale fighter jets from France for the Indian Navy. Under this, the Indian Navy will get 26 new advanced Rafale-M fighter jets from France, which will be specially designed according to the needs of the Navy. After the successful trial of these fighter jets in India, the central government has decided to go ahead with the deal of these jets.
It has been seen on many occasions that our servile and powerful country China keeps provoking us without any reason, and wants to establish its power over us, after this deal, we will get strength on China's front. China is also posing a threat to India on the maritime borders, in such a situation this deal with France can prove to be very helpful.
India and France may chalk out a roadmap for defense deals during PM Modi's visit. India will try to make engines and other parts in India with the help of French companies. In this deal, many types of state-of-the-art weapons will be purchased especially for the Indian Navy.
Clashes broke out on May 3 for the first time after a tribal solidarity march was organized in the hill districts to protest against the Meitei community's demand for Scheduled Tribe (ST) status. The Meitei community constitutes about 53 percent of Manipur's population and mostly lives in the Imphal Valley. The tribal Nagas and Kukis constitute 40 percent of the population and reside in the hill districts. Around 10,000 Army and Assam Rifles personnel have been deployed to restore peace in the state.
But despite lakhs of efforts, no improvement is being seen, due to which the common people are facing a lot of problems. So far more than 140 people have lost their lives in this violence and more than 3000 people have been injured. The Modi government at the Center and the Biren government in the state have so far failed completely on this issue. Till now, PM Modi has not spoken a word on this issue, nor has he tweeted. However, Home Minister Amit Shah is keeping an eye on this whole matter. Because of this silence of PM Modi, Rahul has targeted him.
