'Public servants should stay beyond partisanship', Vice President Dhankhar attended the program related to IAS

He said that a public servant should not have involvement with political parties. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday called upon the public servants to stay beyond partisanship and said that they should adopt a nationalist and federalist approach.

Vice President Dhankhar, speaking to the Assistant Secretaries of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) 2022 batch here, stated that public servants should always look beyond partisanship. He stated that a public servant should not be involved with political parties.

The Vice President urged the officers to take a nationalistic and federalist approach, always putting the national interest first and upholding the rule of law. Dhankhar urged civil servants to uphold high ethical standards and stated that they are agents of change. You are the cornerstone of good governance and the torchbearer of rapid development.

He said that the civil service is more representative than ever before and has representation from all sections of society, especially those from weaker and disadvantaged backgrounds. Dhankhar said that today India is full of hope and possibilities and is the most preferred destination for investment. He said that opportunities for the youth are increasing day by day.
