PM visits Adi Kailash on Uttarakhand tour
PM Modi, who went on a one-day visit to Uttarakhand on Thursday, first visited Adi Kailash from Kailash View Point in Pithoragarh. Then went to Gunji village adjacent to the India-China border. Later he paid obeisance at Jageshwar Dham in Almora.
At the end of the day, while addressing a public meeting in Pithoragarh, the PM said – We have started developing the border villages not as the last, but as the first villages of the country. Under the Vibrant Village Programme, similar border villages are being developed.
This work could have been done by the earlier governments also, but the earlier governments did not develop the border area due to the fear that the enemy might take advantage of it and come inside. Today's new India is moving forward, leaving behind this fearful thinking of the earlier governments.
